1. Information We Collect
Fertlo collects information you provide directly (e.g., email address when signing up for alerts), information collected automatically (e.g., pages visited, browser type, IP address via analytics tools), and publicly available clinic data from the NPI Registry, CDC ART Surveillance, and similar sources.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve the Fertlo directory
- Send optional email updates you request
- Analyze site usage through privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Analytics)
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the site (hosting, analytics). All clinic directory data is publicly sourced and does not contain personal health information of patients.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic measurement and Vercel Analytics, which is cookie-free. You can opt out of Google Analytics via your browser settings or a GA opt-out extension.
5. Data Retention
We retain analytics data for 14 months. Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@fertlo.com.

7. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws:
- Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten"): You may request that we delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue processing it.
- Right to Data Portability: You may request to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to transmit that data to another controller.
- Right to Restrict Processing: You may request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances (e.g., while we verify its accuracy or consider an objection).

8. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you the following rights:
- Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. Fertlo does not sell your personal information to any third party.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
California residents may submit a privacy request by emailing privacy@fertlo.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days as required by law.
